Now that Texas is behind us, it's time to concentrate on the Cajun Coast Classic in Morgan City. The facility is actually located in Patterson, LA a few miles from Morgan City. On Friday evening, there will be a reception for players and family at a Casino near there, listed below is the name and address of the Casino, and details they have provided for the players.

Amelia Belle Casino
500 Lake Palourde Rd
Amelia, LA 70340

2 free drinks, $10 in free play and light snacks for the event.  In addition they will have a tent at the tournament to distribute complimentary water to participants.

October is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month", and many people, including some of our players, are breast cancer survivors. To show our support, some of us will be wearing pink during the weekend of our last event of the season in Morgan City/Patterson, LA. We invite anyone who will, and wants to show support, to join with us in the "Horseshoe Tour's Pitch Against Breast Cancer" to honor the fight.

The deadline for the Cajun Coast Classic, in Louisiana, is Wednesday, October 14th. If you are planning on entering the event, make sure it is postmarked by that date. If you have any doubt that it will get here on time, please give me a call at 803-412-8226 (Ron Taylor) or contact local club members Al Dodson, or Tim Gilmore.

On behalf of the Horseshoe Tour staff, we would like to thank Carrie Stansbury, and Vanessa Spinella, of the City Visitors Bureau, Al Dodson, Tim Gilmore and the entire Bayou Horseshoe Club, sponsors, helpers, and everyone involved in last weekends Cajun Coast Classic Horseshoe event in Louisiana. Despite inclement weather on Sunday, Saturday's qualifying went on as scheduled, was completed, and the tournament went in the books as official. A special thanks to the Amelia Belle Casino for hosting the Friday night reception for the players and family members, between 80-100 attended, and for providing free drinking water to the players all weekend. Also to the Bayou Horseshoe Club, with sponsorship, providing Cajun style meals for free, the entire weekend. This was just a great event, and plans are being made as we speak to improve on it in 2016, so don't make the mistake of missing it next year!!

Most definitely, Really a nice facility. Love the location on the Golf Course! Next time I'll bring clubs.
Thank you, LA folks.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! Cool

I was trying to make it! Even after I had emergency gall bladder surgery on Oct. 11 I still planned to go---I was overly optimistic! I had to relent to not going, but there is always next year!!!  Everyone have a great off season.
